Federations League season 89.2 in football, 81.2 in hockey, concluded earlier today, marking an exciting chapter in both sports. In the hockey game, our new champions are MZ Hockey España, edging out fierce competition from ZHL Maraton, while last season's victors Federatia Romana de Hockey pe Gheata clinched the bronze trophy. Meanwhile, anticipation is high in the football game as the first ever Elite Division is about to start. We now know the names of all federations that will compete for gold.
Hockey review We saw a fierce battle between three federations who were almost inseparable, each with 30 points, 10 wins and one loss. In the end they had to be separated by tie breaker points (the points gained within clashes), after which MZ Hockey España emerged victorious, ZHL Maraton finished second, and the bronze trophy was awarded to last year's winners Federatia Romana de Hockey pe Gheata.
The round 8 clash between MZ Hockey España and ZHL Maraton which finished 50-49 to the eventual winners, might have been the pivotal point of the season, both literally and figuratively.
Football review As we eagerly await the kickoff of the Elite Division, the question on everyone's minds remains: Which federation will etch their name in history as the first-ever Elite Division champion? With six action-packed weeks ahead, the answer is bound to unfold before our eyes.
